Where do the questions come from?
You write them or import them from a spreadsheet. Aefing does not sell question banks. Writing a question is part of learning it.
What is a retention check?
A short set of questions you have not seen for at least a week, taken cold. Its score is your retention, kept apart from everyday practice.
How is this different from other study apps?
Ten question types instead of front and back cards, syllabi with weights, quizzes you can share, and a retention number from delayed checks rather than session scores.
Do I need an email?
No. Add one later if you want to reset a forgotten password.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Install it from your browser and review with no connection. Answers sync when you are back online.
