Short answer

Numeric
Type a number. Commas, currency signs, P, PHP, pesos, a trailing % and parentheses for a negative number are accepted, and it is right within the question's tolerance.
Enumeration
List the items, separated by commas, semicolons or new lines, in any order. An item that holds a comma stays whole, and a number matches within the question's tolerance. Each item found counts. It is right at two thirds of the items, unless the question sets another share.
Fill in blanks
Fill each numbered blank. Each blank is checked against its own accepted answers, whatever their case, extra spaces or end punctuation, and a number matches within the question's tolerance. It is right at two thirds of the blanks, unless the question sets another share.
Matching
Pair each item on the left with one on the right. Each right pair counts. It is right at three quarters of the pairs, unless the question sets another share.
Ordering
Put the items in order. It is right only when every item is in its place.
Essay
Write an answer. It waits for its author to mark it Correct, Half or Wrong, and a retention check never asks one.
